UoY or UoM?

Hi, I have had offers from both UOY (English/ Linguistics) and UOM (English lang and lit) and am torn between the two.
Accommodation wise- York 100%
Love both cities but conflicted between which lifestyle I would prefer. I'm from a very small town so anywhere has more going on than here... I'm also not bothered by nightlife really.
I like that York is a campus uni and I like the collegiate system.
Manchester seems to have more choice in terms of optional modules.

Anyone got any advice? Current students' opinions of either uni are especially welcome. Thanks. <3

You have until next May/June to make this decision so don't decide yet (those that make decisions early often regret it). Go to the offer-holder days in Spring, look through the course modules in detail and then decide.
You will probably only live in the accomodation one year? How many years do students get to stay in the accomodation provided? Where do students live in the remaining years?
