Should i mention this in my personal statement?

hi! im drafting my ps rn, but i dont rlly have anyone to like cross-check it,
should i mention the reason of the dip in my marks in 11th grade? i got diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis so i missed many school days and grades fell off. idk if this would show a negative side, but im fine right now so :0
any help would be appreciated !! thankss
Your referee should explain this in your reference. It shouldn’t be in your ps

It’s kind of complicated, my referee wasn’t with me last year, moreover our school only issues the lor once and I got mine itself after 2 months of asking. What can I do? I’m so lost im so sorry :frown:

Which qualifications are you applying with?

It’ll be India Class / Standard 12.

Going back to the original question, I agree, as a reader of PS’s this isn’t something to include. It’s for the ref to detail.

If their ref didn’t know them at the time, it’s something to discuss with them so they can write about it in the relevant section.

Has your application actually been submitted to UCAS yet?

If not, mid-Jan is absolutely fine. You’ll be considered the same as someone that applied in Oct/November.

Your UCAS reference needs to be attached before it is submitted to UCAS and your universities. It’s integral to your application not a separate lor
