Number of molecules of oxygen in 12 moles of CO2 ?

I have started to do some calculations but im not sure what to do next i know i need to get moles of O2 out of CO2 then times that by avegadros but im not sure if im doing it correctly.

Your approach seems fine, but is perhaps a little overcomplicated.

Notice how oxygen exists as O2 molecules and so each CO2 molecule must contain one O2 molecule?

What does that tell you about the number of moles of O2 in the 12 moles of CO2?
