Radiography to sonography

Heyy I just wanted to ask you a few questions about sonography, so I’m potentially looking to do radiography at uni but don’t actually want to work as a radiographer how long after graduation can I apply for sonography and after doing research I’ve seen the hardest part is securing a placement if your not going to derby or Cumbria, how hard and how would I secure a placement as if it’s extremely competitive like I’ve read on peoples posts I wouldn’t want to do radiography as that itself doesn’t really interest me.

It is very competitive to get in to and you will be up against other applicants who are radiographers, radiotherapists, nurses and midwives, possibly with many years of experience. It will also depend on how many openings come up in the NHS trust you are working in. Be prepared to volunteer in the sonography department in your own time to get your face known.

Hey! I wanted to ask about shadowing.I’m in the process of arranging to shadowa sonographer (I’m a final yearradiography student). Do I get some sortof written evidence or anything to confirmI have done shadowing?
