Arabic GCSE and A level

Hello,

I've decided to self study for these, alongside my degree in Arabic since I don't have foundational qualifications in these.

I was wondering whether anyone did these.

1. Which exam board did you use?
2. Do you have any tips on where to start?
3. How can I sit these externally?

Also if there is anyone else who externally sat these exams, where did you do your listening exam?

For Context:
I am 20 years old completed GCSE (9998777775) and A level (AAA). I'm pretty proficient in the Arabic language for translation, having studied classical Arabic for 4/5 academic years part time.

But I really want qualifications in Arabic.

Hi,
Edexcel is the best board.
Learn loads of vocabulary and improve writing skills
You can go to any exam centre in your area and register.

If you have any tips, please let me know because I'm confused without a teacher

Okay super! But there's a listening exam, so who would take that for us private students?

The centre would offer it when you register.

They'll provide laptops and headphones on which you will be monitored and will only be allowed to listen to it a certain amount of times. Then answer the questions as normal and done

If you register as a private candidate at these centers, it is a requirement that they have all materials of the exams they are offering. If they offer Arabic, they will offer it.

If you are unsure, you can email the center you're planning to register at and ask them.

If you don't mind me asking, are you UK based?

Thank you so much for your response.

Yes, I found this out and emailed the centre. They said they will have all the resources for the speaking (I meant speaking before not listening) exam. They also offer mock exams so that should be a good indicator.

No worries at all, Yes I am from the UK.
