Is this too much for year 11 prom?

I’m thinking of this velvet burgundy dress with like a ruffle trim to it and I can’t decide if it’s too much. I really like it so idk

im going to be honest id say go for it if its something you really like and feel comfortable in, it shouldn't be too much as the ruffle trim stands out but the rest of the dress is quite simple and elegant so it should work nicely xx

If you like it, absolutely wear it. It's pretty, and it's a formal dress, so it ticks all the boxes there, but more importantly you only get one life - wear the things you like to wear!
