Girl I was messaging just suddenly deleted me out of the blue

So I matched with a girl on Bumble. We were talking on there for a while and she asked to add on WhatsApp. We were talking on there for a few days and things seemed to be going really well and then out of the blue I got a notification saying she had deleted me on Bumble and then I saw on WhatsApp that she has deleted me on there also. I really don't understand what happened or why someone would do that.

Maybe her parents found out she was using Bumble and talking to a "stranger" on WhatsApp, and made her delete you as they disapprove?

These things happen in online dating (and non-online dating). There could be many reasons - she realised you guys were incompatible or looking for different things, or she met someone she liked more, or as above maybe her family had something to do with it. Ultimately you will never know for sure so it's best to agonise over it as little as possible and just move on.

This is the kind of emotional risk that you take on when you date. It's for you to decide whether the risk is worth it, and deciding it's not worth it is a completely valid choice. But if you do decide to date, you can go into it with your eyes open - accepting that you are taking on the risk that you could get hurt.

Four reasons really why this sort of thing normally happens:-

1) You've said or done something that's put her off you (an omission of something she's expecting is basically the same thing in this context)

•

2) She was chatting to a few other guys as well... and in this time, one of them has shown he's a better catch than the rest... so she's exclusively pursuing things with him now.

•

3) She was bored or feeling neglected; now she's got her confidence boost (or she's got "re-acquainted" with someone), you're of no more use to her

•

4) She was cheating on someone... they found out and made her delete her Social Media

Either way, you ain't getting any poon-tang with her bro, so move on. It's not that deep though... plenty more fish out in the sea... you just need to have the right bait.
