Radiotherapy Elective placement abroad accom reimbursement

Hi everyone, hope everyone is well.

I will be going to Australia for my Radiotherapy placement. My lecturers have told me that nothing will be reimbursed since it is an international placement (which is fine by me, but if I can get support of course I will take it). But when I checked the TDAE form it says that accom will be reimbursed as long as the rate is up to £82.50. I have contacted the NHSLSF, but they sent me a very generic email which wasn't exactly helpful. So, my question is, did u guys go through it and did you get reimbursed or not?

Have you looked at the Turing scheme: https://www.turing-scheme.org.uk
Your university should be able to provide more information on this.

Are all your placement blocks in Australia or is this an elective placement (and it is a mandatory or optional placement)?

You can claim for accommodation, travel between accommodation & placement site, travel to airport in UK and from overseas airport to your accomm, insurance and visa costs (my YP did an elective in June and successfully claimed for these from the NHS LSF).
