Nursing-sonography

Hi,

I'm a Registered nurse living in London thinking get into sonography.
Now,to be honest I don't know exactly how to get into it or what is the right way..
I've tried to apply to University in London for postgraduate medical Ultrasound programme and it's seems I need to have a placement within a clinical department appropriate to this speciality.
Does it need to be in NHS or can be private as well?
Any other advices are welcome.
Thank you!

You need to ask the UoL if they will accept you on a private placement. The best route is to try and get a placement with your current employer in a sonography role. There will be a lot of competition for these places so maybe start volunteering in the sonography department in your own time to get your face known.
