Emmanuel college cambridge interview

Does anyone know when we will be told the location/room of our interviews? I’ve had 2 emails and neither say the location

Hi - I didn't want to read this and not reply, neither of my sons emails showed the room location at all or where to present on arrival - I had an interesting conversation with a lady outside the porters lodge (when i dropped him there) who was wondering what we were 'wondering about' and I explained we were trying to establish if he should go into the Porters Lodge. She said 'he should maybe read his email' and I very politely explained that neither of them said anything about this. So he went into the Porters Lodge and they assisted him and someone came to take him to his correct interview locations each time. In fact, they couldn't have been more efficient or nicer in doing this it would seem. It just grated me a little that she implied he should read his email when he had 🙂 Wishing you the best of luck with your interview(s) - sincerely I understand how stressful this can be for everyone. xx

Thanks so much!! It’s not great that she was assuming he’d gotten this far yet couldn’t read an email, but thank you I’ll definitely just make sure I’m there early to make sure I get to the right room ontime

That's very helpful to know! Do you mind me asking what did your son wear for his interview- torn between suit or jeans/ shirt?

Hello. He wore a pair of black casual trousers with a t shirt and 3//4 zip pullover style jumper. Not sure how helpful that is but I bumped into a friend in the days leading up to it who said ‘make sure he doesn’t wear a suit’ and when I asked why he said because he may be too uncomfortable. Turned out his child had been interviewed there a few years ago and regretted the suit. I had nothing else to compare with and didn’t know what to do. In the end he looked absolutely fine as some were in suits and some had jeans on and he sort of landed in the middle. The most important thing is how comfortable they are in what they’re in so if they normally wear a suit and this would put them at ease then go with that. 🙂

Go to the old library and student ambassadors will call you when it’s time for your interview, but before that you’ll need to go to Timmy Hele room to register first.
