B.tech Anatomy opting for Medicine and surgery

Please i need help, i study b.tech anatomy for 5 years and i would love to opt in for medicine and surgery without having to start from first year or second year, i tried searching nigeria universities but i saw that no postgraduate diploma can lead me to study medicine but i saw it in countries like Autralia, Newzealand, other schools outside nigeria.
So now am confused what can i do?

If you want to study medicine through a postgrad abroad you’d have to move abroad to those countries and live there whilst you study. You’d need to check they accept the qualifications you have and see whether they have other requirements for international students. Then at least for the UK sit the UCAT or the GAMSAT, will be able to do this online. Then apply through UCAS (in the UK at least) to universities and attend interviews where they assess personality, problem solving etc. However study fees for international students are extremely high at least in the UK and places are very competitive, even more so in postgrad medicine. Your other option would be to sit an undergraduate medicine degree where you are which is just an extra 1-2 years, but I’m unsure how fees and things work for Nigeria.

A lot of UK med schools do not accept BTECS though. You’d need to sit A-level biology and chemistry on top of that likely. But you can check the entry requirements online at each individual university. Postgrad would mean sitting a full 3 year undergraduate degree, usually a Bsc.
