What is the scenario?

this is the task brief of the part A paper for the exam in january 2025: Quik Cuisine is a food delivery service in Crewe. Customers order food from a variety of restaurants and the food is delivered to the customer by Quik Cuisine. The company employs 36 staff. Some of the staff work part-time. Each restaurant employs its own staff to cook the food. Customers complete an order for food on the Quik Cuisine website. The website shows the menus for the various restaurants. Food deliveries take place between 11.00 am and 10.00 pm each day. The food order is sent to the relevant restaurant for preparation once the customer has completed online payment. The Quik Cuisine driver allocated to deliver the food is notified once the food is ready to be delivered. Quik Cuisine has an administrative building consisting of offices. The office manager supervises the administrative staff and the marketing staff. IT support is provided by an external contractor. The company IT systems are old and outdated. They need to be updated or new equipment purchased so that the company has an efficient IT system to store and manage its information and data requirements. Quik Cuisine is not a real company but is meant to be representative of the type of delivering services, and marketing and sales company you might want to investigate as part of your research

You are advised to spend a maximum of 3 hours doing your research. You will research the IT service delivery requirements that are relevant to the delivering services, and marketing and sales sectors. You should research similar organisations of this size and type in the delivering services, and marketing and sales sectors and you should consider: hardware requirements software requirements data and information requirements relevant IT legislation. Specifically, for future developments, you may want to investigate the IT service delivery requirements of: a mobile app to include an option to order food and receive updates on food orders GPS to track food delivery a staff rota management system that provides access to rotas for staff using their own mobile devices. In Part B you will design and plan the IT service delivery solution for Quik Cuisine in relation to the IT service delivery life cycle. You will be able to take two sides of individually prepared hard copy A4 research notes into Part B of the set task

Sorry for the late reply,

Part A was fine I guess.. from what I had deduced was that there is an Office manager, administration staff, marketing staff, IT support (via external contractor), possibly General manager (bundled it with the office manager in case), HR manager , Finance manager and yeah thats pretty much it. While I do not have worthy tips or cheat codes for part B, I would say ensure that you write how you will be carrying out activity 1,2,3,4 and 5 inside your part A (MAKE SURE IT IS 2 SIDES), include all the hardware, software, specialist software, compliance software (GDPR, H&S & copyright (this is due to the fact they have an app)) for all staff I had mentioned then separately include networking hardware (hardware firewall, switch, routers, ethernet cable, WAP) as well as a seperate table, list out only the important specs do not extend it!!! it will be dragged out longer than 3 pages.

Listen man, don't stress it out. You have time, I am pretty sure you have up to the 3rd January to edit Part A (this is what my centre does). Just use this guide I had included in my PartA, if you can't edit Part A unfortunate for you, well at least try instill this into memory lol.

Activity 1 - Make sure to use the priorities as well - You will need to list all of the devices and requirements that are needed, after writing the requirements, talk about why they are important. Activity 2 - For the function section, write who the devices or equipment is for and in the service name, give the devices name and specs, in the description area, you will need to talk about the importance of the device, how it will benefit the staff and the organisation. Activity 3 - For this you will need to create a network diagram, you need to make sure all of the areas stated are covered and all of their connections are also shown thoroughly covered, You need to also show all of the hardware and software that is needed. You also need a data diagram to show all data needed by each stakeholder and how they link to eachother. You also need to describe how the data flows through the organisation - what is needed, where it comes from, who it is shared with. Make sure you do the 3 requirements data flow Activity 4 - Create a table with the headings Requirements, Appropriateness, Alternatives, Justification. For each heading, say how the hardware will benefit the company., For justification, say which one you would go with and why it’s better. - Activity 5 - First heading, talk about the cost, storage, reliability, security ,usability ,downtime, Moving data across solutions. Second heading, talk about providing training, providing security, and remote access(VPN). Third section, talk about providing security(DPA), convenience, WIFi,and website. Fourth section, talk about the Secure WiFi,Physical security, Firewall, remote access(VPN) Last section, talk about the usability, scalability, cost, downtime, security and linking with other companies
