Can I beg Cambridge to take back their rejection

I was rejected from Cambridge pre-interview over a week ago for law, and despite people saying ‘just imagine yourself at another uni’ it’s not that simple. I need to help my family by being financially free, and so, my career prospects need to be amazing, and the uni I go to will really help. Now, I know it’s not the end of the world, but I’m genuinely heartbroken. I cannot reapply next year as that’s a gamble, so I really just want to beg Cambridge to offer me a place.
No, they won’t reconsider.
You can but it won’t make any difference. Just waste your time and theirs.

You don’t need a Cambridge degree to get a good job.

Forget for a moment why you might deserve to go to Cambridge. Imagine for a moment why you might not deserve to go to Cambridge this year compared to other applicants. What is the reason or are the reasons you can think of?

What are your GCSE/IGCSE subjects and grades? 😧

I wonder which subjects you're taking for A-Level?

What were your predicted grades?

Perhaps your LNAT score was too low?
As others said, their decision is final and begging won’t achieve anything.

I myself received a rejection from Cambridge for law last year, and I was devastated. I know all too well how it feels to be in the position you are in, so hopefully I can help you a little.

Sure, right now it is hard to imagine yourself at another university, but in a month or so this will be much easier. Allow yourself time to feel sad about this rejection- this is okay! Remember also that while Cambridge does rank well for law, that doesn’t mean everything, and it certainly shouldn’t disadvantage you financially. There are plenty of other universities that you will thrive in and come out as a highly employable person.

Have you heard back from your other choices yet?
