teacher attachment

im feeling super vulnerable posting this but i need to know if theres anybody that can relate to this. i struggle really badly with teacher attachment to my female teacher but most say they get attached to women if they have mommy issues and men if they have daddy issues. i have severe daddy issues but only get attached to female teachers. i feel like its because my daddy issues are based around sa so i seek that bond from women due to the nature of them. idk does anyone relate or understand why lmk

You’re incredibly brave for sharing this, and I’m so sorry you're dealing with these complex feelings. It’s not uncommon for people with difficult past experiences, especially those involving trauma, to seek safe, nurturing connections. The fact that you’re drawn to female teachers might reflect your need for a secure and non-threatening relationship, especially given your history. Gender doesn't always determine attachment patterns; it’s more about who feels safe and supportive to you.

Many people who have experienced similar issues find comfort in the idea that their brain is trying to heal by seeking out healthy relationships. Therapy could be a great space to explore this further, as a professional could help you untangle these feelings and provide a path forward. You’re not alone in this—so many people have complex emotions tied to past experiences. Thank you for being vulnerable and asking for understanding.
