Hi Eugene,

I can offer some insight into the University of Sheffield. Sheffield has great industry connections with several spin outs from the university that have turned into businesses and state of the art facilities like iForge where you can work on personal projects, like soldering. The course at Sheffield offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers both theoretical and practical aspects of electrical and electronic engineering. Students have the opportunity to specialise in areas such as electrical engineering, electronic engineering, communications, and more. Awards have also been won by the department for its recent academic success by the The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.

There are also several student led projects that you can take part in to apply your degree knowledge to real life applications to eventually compete against other unis, regionally, nationally or even internationally.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have anymore questions about the course, life at Sheffield or anything else. You can also use this link on our website to chat to students on your specific course.

Yours Sincerely,
Jivanthika
