Are open days for Postgraduate students?

If you're applying for a master's or PhD then you may have been to an open day as an undergraduate but it's always a good idea to go to one as a postgraduate applicant too. At a postgraduate open day, you can:

Talk one-on-one with subject academics to find out about the details of your chosen course

Get advice about finance, how to apply for postgraduate finance and how to manage your money if you have other commitments

Get advice for your application, including top tips from academics who will be reading your application

Talk to current postgraduate students, they're the experts who can tell you what it's really like to study a postgraduate degree

Attend our virtual postgraduate event to do all of the above from the comfort of your home. Our next event is on Wednesday 5 February 12pm - 7pm book your place now: https://bit.ly/3VxPfaU

If you want a glimpse of BCU before our open event, take our 360-degree virtual tour: https://bit.ly/3NGd63P

Let me know if you have any questions about the event or postgraduate study in general!

Hello everyone

I would just add to the thread here about open days for postgraduate students. At the University of Chester, there are specific open evenings for postgraduate students - the next one is on Wednesday March 26th, starting at 5.30 pm.

The open evenings give you a chance to find out about the facilities that Chester has on offer for postgrads, and learn about life within the faculty that you wish to study. The faculties all have representatives on hand to talk to you about the courses on offer and answer your specific questions. There are also members of staff in the ‘Information Fair’ from the finance, accommodation, careers, student services, students’ union, admissions etc who are available to offer you advice and answer your queries about all aspects of postgraduate study. During the evening, current postgraduate students are available to give guided tours of the campus to tell you what it’s like from the students’ perspective and answer any of your questions.

Open evenings are a really great way to get a feel for the university.
To book on to the next one, just visit www.Chester.ac.uk and complete the booking form.

See you soon!
