Clearing options

Hi I'm not planning to apply this year via UCAS application. Do you think I could apply through clearing after results day this year or does clearing only work if you have already applied?

Yes, you could apply through clearing without went through the routine 5-choice cycle.

Howevever UCAS will require personal statement, predicted grades and reference. Get prepared.
You may as well apply now regardless, worst case you get no offers and are immediately ready for clearing when it goes live.
Clearing is part of UCAS. You need a full UCAS application to use clearing which is why it’s a better option to apply now than to wait.

Out of curiosity is there a particular reason you don’t want to formally apply through UCAS? I’m just wondering if maybe there’s a part of the application that you’re misunderstanding/ is stressing you out that someone on here could help you with.

Just remember that Clearing is like the January Sales - its only for courses no one else wants - which may not include the Uni/course you want. And - this is important - most Unis will not guarantee Uni housing for Clearing applicants, which may mean no housing at all.
