this is going to sound absolutely insane but its hurting at this point

a few weeks ago i started thinking about a really old interest i had years ago and then it picked up to the point where it started eating most of my thoughts. i was... kind of enjoying it then?

but now it like. feels like i cant genuinely relax anymore i have to be thinking about it 24/7 . i'm not neurodivergent so i cant hyperfixate but

there's this persistent feeling of my mind being constantly active and i hate it.
i dont want to give up my old interest but im probably going to have to because i cant stand feeling like this anymore

help .

Hi, it might help if you could share what that thing is if you feel comfortable to do so

Hi there

I hope you are doing good. Since you have not mentioned what interest it is I suppose you don't want to share openly and however it would have been easier to help you. But, It is completely fine, please always be kind to yourself and give yourself enough time if you are willing to see changes. You can try talking to any of your family member or your friends or you can contact

SHOUT - text 852258 (24hr text service)

Rethink mental health - 0300 5000 927
