HNC

I'm applying to university this year for primary teaching but unsure if i will get accepted, if i'm not successful with my university choices i'm looking to do a hnc in childhood studies, what i'm wondering is does anyone know if Glasgow university and strathclyde or Queen Margaret University are likely to accept a HNC or is the acceptance rate low.

Hello! Yes we'd be able to consider you with an HNC ongoing 🙂 For entry with HNC, we look for A in Graded Unit, plus two Highers at B (including English) and Mathematics National 5 B. This is for Year 1 entry of the BA Primary Education course. I don't have the exact offer/acceptance rate to hand but we'd be able to consider you if you're able to meet the entry requirements and I'd say there's a good number of students who come in from HNC.

Reach out to the other universities to see if they're able to advise for their own requirements!
