Hii, I just got my offer from Lancaster too. Would you not prefer living in accommodation on campus? Unless you are driving to and from campus, it seems much easier to live on campus imo. Ive only looked at the 'amberstudent' website for off campus accom so far, some are already full!! They look really nice too

My daughter was at Lancaster for 4 years for an integrated masters. You could stay on campus on grad college which is a short walk to the main bulk of the campus. Or, you could try to see if you can get into Chancellors wharf. My daughter stayed for 4th year. Third year she spent at Penny Street by Hello Student which are private halls in Lancaster. Theres a number of private halls in Lancaster. Such as we are homes for students, prestige student living, cityblock, crm students at luneside. Theres also Lancaster university homes https://www.lancasteruniversityhomes.co.uk/

For postgrad at Lancaster try contacting them on:

Living on campus sure does have its benefits. Daughter spend her freshers year there and its local, you got lots of eateries, you dont have to get a bus pass either which is about 360 pounds. just because you wont be going to the city every day so its cheaper just to pay. Its got security as well as the several college bars on campus which you can drink in any. Living in the city is convienient. You can just nip to aldi when you want, campus spar is not cheap to do a weeks shop (although you can order online from supermarkets). And if you are working in the city thats a help. But yeah, If you are just doing a masters year there, graduate college is a good one because your with other postgrads and get to be part of the community. Private halls is mixed years, and at chancellors wharf, she was with third and fourth years.

Hello!
Congratulations on your offer to study at Lancaster University, it's a very exciting time! In terms of accommodation, we do recommend that students live on campus in their first year as it is a great transition to living independently. You would live in university owned accommodation so college porters and maintenance are always on hand if you have any problems. You are also a 5 minute walk away from everything you need on campus! However, if you do want to live off campus there are several options. Chancellor's Wharf is university owned accommodation in town, Hello Student is also a private student accommodation in the centre of town. Additionally, there are many studios and apartments available to rent.

Hope this helps and shout if you have anymore questions!
