UCAS application - mention current uni?

Hi,
I am currently a first year student at university but dropping out this Christmas break and reapplying through UCAS to other universities for September 2025. In the education section of my application I have my secondary school with GCSEs and my sixth form with A Levels. My question is - do I need to list the fact I am currently studying at a university, despite the fact I am leaving? If so, how would I go about doing this?

Thank you

You're required to declare your current study at your current uni, yes. It's not optional - failure to do so can lead to your application being declared fraudulent by UCAS. You need to declare all completed and attempted qualifications - including this attempted degree.

You just add it as with other qualifications. You would list the degree, institution, the start date, the anticipated end date, and that the result is pending. The institution and course should normally be available from the drop down options.

Thank you,
This also leads me to a further question. On the ‘addresses’ section, I have currently put down my student accommodation address as address 1, and my home address as address 2. However, after January or February I will no longer be living here. I’m assuming this means they would continue to send letters to that address. Would it be better to just not include the accommodation address? Or do I have to disclose this as well?

I'd list your home address as the first address, to make sure any correspondence you're sent by mail can get picked up. I'd suggest including the accommodation address as the second address. I suspect the importance is for establishing your domicile in terms of funding etc.

You can change your address information after submitting the application, unlike your qualifications information, so I suspect this is therefore more of a practical consideration than anything.

Alright thank you. Also, for the ending date of my current uni course, how am I supposed to know which month to put? I know it ends in 2027, but not the month. Does it matter if I get this wrong?

I usually put June/July as a guess, I wouldn't worry too much about that as it's not been an issue for me. having the right year and rough end period (i.e. summer of that year) makes it clear to them the expected length of the course and that you are indeed doing a course at uni currently, which is the info they are after.
