Surrey vs Southampton vs Cardiff

What would be overall best for an Accounting and Finance w/placement course as I am struggling to decide?
Given that I have offers for all three its tough to decide - the offers for Surrey and Cardiff are more achievable at ABB whereas Southampton is AAB.
I am also set to go on an offer holder day to Cardiff as I haven't been yet - but liked both Surrey and Southampton.

Have you considered the time and cost to get home, and accommodation costs? Surrey is a much more expensive place to live.

Hi there,

I'm a student here at Cardiff University and love it! Congratulations on receiving an offer thats amazing!
I would highly recommend Cardiff University. The accounting and finance course is really good, it is accredited by Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and others. And the facilities are really good with, Investor Simulations, TRETS and Bloomberg. I love the uni, the city, and the people. Its so much fun and the best place to be a student (in my opinion).

If you have any other questions please let me know!

Hello @Preslelel,

Congratulations on your offers! 🥳
It can be challenging to choose between universities, but here are some things to consider:

Cost and location of accommodation;

Course syllabus and assessments;

Distance from your home;

What you think about the campus and city;

Which entry requirements you feel comfortable with.

Although I don't do Accounting and Finance, I am a second year student at the University of Southampton and have really enjoyed it so far. The accommodations are close to the campuses and the city, and the university facilities and buildings are amazing. Southampton offers a wide range of optional modules to choose from for Accounting and Finance, which I would recommend having a look at to help with your decision. For me, visiting the university campuses and cities really helped with my decision, so considering which open day you liked best may help too!

Wishing you luck and let me know if you have any other questions. 😀
