uni choices

Ok so:
Predicted A*A*A*, applying to design/architectural/civil engineering
Imperial, UCL, Bath, QMUL, City

I'm not sure about City because I don't see myself going there...but I need a safe option.

Other unis I'm looking at:
Bristol, Birmingham, Durham (all highly competitive)

I don't know if I should take the risk or just play it safe..honestly I might change UCL as well :/

Hi @marsoo,

Your choices sound good, but I get the struggle between going for competitive unis and having a safe option. If you don’t see yourself at City, it’s worth swapping for somewhere you’d actually consider, like Loughborough, Sheffield, or Leeds, which are strong for engineering but less competitive than UCL or Bath. For safety, it’s good to have 1-2 options you’d genuinely be happy to attend, alongside your more ambitious picks like Imperial and Bath. If you’re doubting UCL, double check the course structure to see if it actually suits you before finalising. Keep a balance so you’re not taking unnecessary risks.
