IB economics or IB BM for HL. I wan to major in music production

I am a year 10 student, and I am planning to apply for music production/ screen scoring to US universities.
I took both Econ and BM in IGCSE.
BM:
Advantages: Universities curriculum includes something like business structure, marketing, branding, client management, budgeting, how organization runs. Business is definitely more related to music production than Econ.
But normally it is just 1-2 course(s) in the curriculum, which means the difference between choosing BM and Econ in IB is very small.
Is Econ more preferable than BM for US universities ( music production major)
Which one is easier?

i am in my second year of the IB and studying econ sl, I have honestly enjoyed this subject a lot more than I thought i would (I am applying to vet med and definitely more into stem than the humanities) However, I have heard that BM is easier, I didn’t choose it because it’s not offered at my school but it seems like for your case it is not that important for you to choose between econ and BM for your university applications so focus on choosing what you think you would enjoy best. Look through the textbooks or what some youtube videos on some of the topics for both and see what you think :smile:
