I am predicted A*AA in Politics, Econ and Sociology with 998887775 achieved. I sent my application last tuesday for
PPE - Exeter (Accepted)
PPE - Loughborough (Accepted)
Politics with Economics - Bath
Politics and International relations - Bristol (On hold)
PPE - Southampton

Bristol put me on hold and I haven't heard from Bath yet. What are the chances that I get rejected from both. Am I just overthinking or is this a possibility?

I got put on hold for econ and maths at Bristol aswell with achieved A* A* A in maths econ politics and predicted A* in FM, and have not heard back from bath either, I assume they are just taking their time for the more competitive courses

Just wanted to say bristol put me on hold (for economics) then gave me an offer a week later. So I'd guess being put on hold doesn't really mean anything so dw. I've applied to bath too and haven't heard back (except for confirmation email), I've heard they take their time for some courses.

Hi, also applied for Politics and IR at Bristol and I’m on hold too. I’ve heard that no home non-contextual students have received offers yet so I’m not too worried

With regards to your application to Bath, I wouldn’t worry too much about not hearing back yet. Our admissions team reviews every application thoroughly, especially for competitive courses like Politics with Economics, so it can take some time for them to give out offers.

Great to hear you're considering Bath in your mix of choices!

Please try not to worry. When it comes to offers no news is good news. Unis have until late April to make their decisions and so you could hear from them at any time from now to then. Just know that how long you wait has nothing to do with how strong your application is and that uni at UG level is not first come first served. Also, you have a fantastic academic profile and so I'm confident that if you've put in a good personal statement then you have a good chance of receiving offers from those unis 🙂

Hiya, I was also put on hold by Bristol in December but received an offer in January for Politics and International Relations. I had very similar GCSE results and I am predicted A*AA in Politics, History and Geography. Don’t worry I’m sure Bristol will let you know soon!

My application was for last year! And yes I did get an offer and am happily at Bath now. If I remember correctly my offer was in late Feb sometime?

Got an offer for Bristol Econ very quickly after submission in early Nov. AAB. Predicted 3 x A*

I am elite at a mainstream sport and wondering if that encouraged a kind and quick offer ! My GCSE’s were mixed. Some excellent some rather average …

Try not to worry, I received my Econ with Politics (Same dept) at the end Feb last year and with my other 4 I didn't hear back until late April and early May. LSE and KCL both late April, Warwick and UCL early May. Anything Economics related is very competitive and seems to take forever especially with the more competitive unis
