Which a levels

So I went to apply for sixth form and originally I wanted to do maths, physics, further maths, and Latin. When I got to the bit where you have to chose your options, Latin and further maths clash so I have to pick between the two. I was always definitely doing maths and physics so I’m not changing those. Which would be best to pick further maths or Latin?

If you wish to study maths, physics, engineering, or computer science at university, choose further maths. Doing so will assist you in those subjects.

If you wish to study any other subject at university, choose Latin. Doing so will improve your written English, give you facility in Romance languages, and generally enhance your life.

Can you do 4? If so, i would suggest sticking to all 4.

Why? Taking four A levels adds workload and stress. Taking four A levels only confers an advantage in relation to a handful of university subjects which need advanced maths skills, when the fourth A level is Further Maths.

That’s a reasonable challenge but in this specific context Maths/F. maths are similar, so it would be 3.5 A levels or 3 A-levels, if done properly.

They said that further maths and latin clash, so they can't stick to all 4.

Well as I said further maths and Latin class so the software literally doesn’t let me pick them both

The thing is I know I want to do something science based but I don’t know what exactly. I feel like latin would keep my options open after alevels but further maths would be like 2.5 a levels the way they teach it at my school.
I’m just torn because I love Latin so much but I feel like fm is more practical because maths is what I’ve always been good at

Can you ask your school whether you can override it? Some schools allow 4 A levels
