Firstly it’s brilliant to know you will soon be joining us to study a postgraduate degree at the university of Chester you have made a great decision as I’m sure you will love it at the university and the city itself. You ask in your question about the repercussions of starting later than the stipulated arrival date. Do you have a definite arrival date ? The best advice I can give you would be to contact the student services team at Chester - their email address is [email protected]. They will be able to advise you about what the best course of action should be and will also help make your arrival as easy as possible when you do come. I would also suggest that you contact your course tutors so that they are aware you will not be in the first sessions of the course. They may be able to provide you with other forms of teaching, via Teams maybe, so that you don’t miss too much. During the first week or so, a lot of the admin sorts of tasks are done, eg sorting out your registration, library tours etc so whilst you may not miss much actual teaching time it is important that you manage to catch up on these other aspects of study. The student services will make sure that you catch up on this when you arrive.
Good luck with everything, Jess PhD English University of Chester
I understand you're an international student from your other thread. We recommend you get in touch with the International admissions team directly - [email protected].
