Hi there!
Congratulations on getting interview offers from 4 out of 5 universities - that’s a great achievement! My name is Mostafa, and I'm a Student Ambassador for Aberystwyth University.
One thing I’d recommend is checking out the video on our website website from one of our Recruitment Officers. It has some great tips for preparing for university interviews and covers some key points to keep in mind. You can find it here: https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/study-with-us/ug-studies/hub/making-the-most/#university-interviews
My manager actually used to do mock interviews with students in the past and has the following tips that may help:

Know your reasons for choosing the subject: Know why you're passionate about the course you’ve applied for. This could be a specific aspect of the subject, an experience that inspired you, or your career goals.

Stay positive: Avoid talking about negative experiences or why you don’t like something. Instead, focus on what excites you and what you’re looking forward to studying or achieving at university.

Prepare a question for the end: Interviews often end with the interviewer asking if you have any questions. This is a great opportunity to show you’ve thought carefully about the course or university. For example, you could ask about any of the module choices, student experience, etc.

Go into detail with your answers: Try to avoid one-word or overly brief responses. If they ask you about a specific topic or your interest in the subject, explain your thought process, provide examples, or relate it to your past experiences or aspirations.

Be sure to also take some time to research each university and the specific course you’ve applied for. This will not only help you answer questions confidently but also show the interviewer that you’ve done your homework. I would also personally recommend practicing with a friend or family member or even answering common interview questions out loud to get comfortable expressing your thoughts and feel more prepared for the real interview!
Good luck with your interviews! If you have any questions about Aberystwyth or the interview process here, feel free to ask! I’d be happy to help.
All the best,
Mostafa

Hii
It went really well! I got an offer a day after the interview (which is crazy) plus the written task wasn’t as hard as I thought it’d be ☺️
Goodluck with your interview next week!!!

Can you give tips on the written tasks

Can you give tips on the written tasks

Of course!!
First thing I’d say is don’t stress about the written task- it’s often easier than it seems.

Second thing is- do your research. Explore something that interests you in the field or something you’re passionate about. I looked into misogyny within healthcare (especially related to nursing).I tried to keep any research I did UK based but I did reference a few things from the US.

Third thing is- remember to reference your article/ source and look back at it if you need any help. The written task isn’t like a test where you have to memorise what you’ve researched. You can look back at it and find some new information too.

Fourth and last but not least, what I would say is the most important, it’s a written task. Keep an eye on your spellings, grammar and vocabulary. A lot of the time the written task isn’t to test your knowledge on the field or question- it’s to see how well you can write.
