Childcare Grant - Payments in arrears/advance

Hi,
Is anyone able to clear up this query for me please? I've read and read and read and don't think it's been clarified anywhere.
I've been awarded childcare grant and understand that providers have to put in a claim for each week.
Our nursery charges in advance for the term and our childminder in advance for the month. (This is purely attendance costs, not any sort of registration fee/retainer etc).
For February for example, can the childminder fill out every week for the whole of February at the end of January, we approve it, and then would she be paid in advance?
Very few providers accept payment after the care has happened (and why should they!)...even the extra admin of weekly amounts is a pain!
Many thanks

The Government website advice to childcare providers is:

"Use your online account to invoice childcare costs throughout the academic year. SFE pay up to 85% of the student’s childcare costs. You should enter your full invoice amount(s) for the previous weeks/months childcare costs and the CCGPS will calculate how much Childcare Grant should be paid."

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/getting-paid-as-a-childcare-provider#how-and-when-youll-be-paid

Check with the CCGPS if a different arrangement for payment can be made.

Hi Spence,

You'd need to speak to the Childcare Grant Payment Service team in regards to this. You can call us on 0300 100 0607 and we can transfer you to the department for assistance with this. Thanks, Jason
