LSE - MSc Real Estate Economics and Finance 2025/2026

Hey guys, has anyone been accepted to the MSc Real Estate Economics and Finance Programme at LSE for the 2025/2026 cohort and wants to chat beforehand? I recently got an offer and think it would be interesting to get to know you.

Congratulations! I haven't but I was interested in the course, writing a statement rn and had a couple of questions for applicants and potential students. It would really help me knowing what your profile looks like as an applicant, work/research experience and all, and could you give me some advice for the personal statement?

Hello, sorry for the Late reply. Hope it still Helps you. I go to a German Economics university and my GPA is around 1.1/5 which refers to 3.8 GPA I believe. Besides my studies I have been working for about one and a half years in two different real estste companies as a working Student which I think also helped me getting in. Moreover I Took the specializations Urban and Regional Economics, Finance, and Mathematics. Espexcially the Urban and Regional Eclnomics specialization helped me quite a lot getting into the MSc, as we did some Research with Tools like Stata and GeoDa, both which are relevant in the MSc REEF. One of the Professors in the course is pretty well known in regional economics, he Wrote one of my Academic references. For the Statement of Academic Purpose my Focus was on Describing the Research we did in Urban and Regional Economics, my Bachelors thesis topic and what I Plan to Write my Masters Thesis about, if I should get accepted to the MSc REEF. Moreover I talked about my work experience and I talked about the recommended Papers one should read before starting the MSc REEF. You have to Show them how LSE would Profit from you if you would be there, Knowledge wise. Also talked about my Career Plans and about what makes real estate so interesting to me.

Hope I could help you out!
