English Literature NEA Edexcel

Hi,

I’m currently in Y12 but I was thinking about what books I wanted to do for my coursework in Y13.

And, I just had an epiphany of comparing Alice in Wonderland and The Little Prince on themes of innocence, childhood etc-

However, I then realised that I never checked the guidelines on picking the books, and when I checked I was disappointed…

Not only is it recommended not to do children’s books (which I think is silly because people at university study them, so why can’t I?) but also apparently you cannot do books translated into English, so I cannot do The Little Prince cause it was originally written in French. (Which is once again ridiculous)

Can someone please confirm that I actually cannot do these two books? cause now I’m very disappointed since I really had my heart set on it and was literally just about to re-read both of them and maybe even annotate (I probably still will, but angrily!)

Your best bet is to ask your teacher, they will know the guidelines the best out of anyone
