Hello!
I have an interview at Sheffield in January! I’ve never had to interview for a university before so I’m very nervous and would love to make sure I ace it.
My top questions are;
• What questions will be asked? Will it all be purely academics related?
• What should I wear? I’d hate to overdress and stand out for that reason and it’s a full day event, lasting from 9:45am-3/4pm.
• What would they be looking for in answers to their questions? And what questions could I ask back?
• What should I absolutely not do/say/ask? Stuff that may seem okay but would be a major detractor, etc.
For some background, I’m a 22 year old mature student. I previously left a university last academic year due to some personal issues and a dislike of my course (I felt missold/the course was not what I expected for some parts). How could I explain this without dogging on both myself and the previous university?
I’m applying via their Lifelong Learning scheme which means I don’t have any level 3s but I have 4+ years of work experience. How could I answer any academic questions? I’ve got like no experience there, haha!
Any tips and advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
