A level advice

Hello,

I'm currently starting to prepare for my A-levels and need advice! I'm working at a low B/high C right now, and ideally want to aim for a high A by A-level season.

What advice do you have for me for:
Biology
Chemistry
Maths

Do you think I can achieve this in 4 months?

Just finished these a levels last year and currently tutoring people on these subjects as well😂
So don’t panic, and you will progress bit by bit to get there.

So for Biology, start with understanding your concepts(youtube videos helps for me) then try to remember it. I like blurting, basically you just write down everything you know, then compare it to what you need to know. Writing is positive reinforcement and also this process help you to actively retrieve info. Once you’re satisfied with your knowledge, you go on to questions and try to gradually tailor your answer more specific to the markscheme. Also most of the time you can bullet point which helps to keep it concise.

Chemistry and maths : a lot of it is just understanding and application. Once you understand it, you are half way there. Then practise questions to apply them more. For chemistry, its always nice to remember your whole organic synthesis as well as definitions. Resources like a level maths revision or dr frost are nice, if you want more challenging ones prolly madas maths.

Trust the process. One of the people i tutored got a D in AS and is now predicted a B this year so far. If your willing to put in the effort, you can defo get there. It’s never too late. Don’t regret yourself for not working hard enough. But obviously, don’t overwork yourself as well.

Thanks for your help! I've only got 4 months left, so how much time do you think I should revise daily?

I think it’s mainly about where do you think you are at. Are you happy with Year 12 content first? Cuz thats really important for your foundation knowledge, otherwise imo no point to just start on year 13 stuff.
