Hi, here are some of my recommendations, might have already been mentioned. I’m currently doing A Levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry and did Further Maths in Year 12.

English Lang and Lit:
. Mr Salles Teaches English YouTube
. York Notes textbooks (I think you can get an online version too)
. CGP English Language practice books and past papers!

Maths:
Don’t worry about your grade too much at this stage, as long as you put effort in and target your revision to your weak points you should be fine. I saw progressive improvement throughout y11 for me (I jumped from foundation to higher so had to self study for the most part).
. The GCSE Maths Tutor YouTube
. Cognito YouTube
. MathsGenie
. Maths Made Easy

And as mentioned, work on tailoring your maths revision to topics you find the weakest. You could have a traffic light system and work on the red topics most by watching videos and then trying lots of practice.

Would also definitely recommend consolidating other topics by doing Corbett Maths 5 a day.

Sciences:
Biology:
. Cognito

Chemistry:
. Cognito (again)

Physics:
. Physics Online
. Issac Physics (for a nice challenge, more like Grade 8-9 questions)
. Cognito

Which other subjects are you doing? I did Spanish, History, Computer Science and Mandarin. Let me know if you need any specific tips on those.

Hi, I’ll give some tips for Spanish sure, and I did Edexcel.

It’s normal to get nervous in these speaking stations. I would recommend going to any speaking clinics offered by your teachers or asking for 1-1 support.

I would also recommend the PALMS mnemonic for describing photos:
. People
. Action (what are the people doing?)
. Location
. Mood
. Season/Weather

I don’t understand what you mean by are the general conversation questions the same as the speaking ones?

Which exam board do you do for History? I did Edexcel and didn’t do the medicine through time module, but I did a module on Weimar and Nazi Germany if that’s what you mean? I can give some specific tips if you would like on that module.

I didn’t retain my own notes, but I would recommend an app called Knowunity, where you can access notes and revision guides, as well as quizzes, designed and uploaded by previous students. I would also recommend BBC Bitesize and Seneca.

I think for the Spanish speaking I understand what you mean here and I can’t completely remember but I think it depends on your school? I seem to remember my teacher asking questions from this book, but I have heard from someone else who has done in a different school that their teacher read an external set of questions? I would mostly focus on using these for revision mostly, don’t bet on them being the questions asked.

As for the Weimar and Nazi Germany topic, I would focus on the sources questions to help you perfect your exam technique. For this I would highly recommend reading the examiner’s reports to see exemplar answers and Hodder textbooks are also very good for extra practice.
