ratios mental block (?)

im at quite a competitive school, so i knew maths tests were going to be hard in y10 but not GRADE 9 LEVEL.
i got a fairly low score in my last test and all because of the ratios topic. the thing is i have absolutely no idea what the best websites to study from are, or how to prepare for very hard questions. its got so bad for me mentally that i literally look at a ratios question and immediately start panicking

in summary: how do you prepare for these devious questions the teachers throw at you??? whats the best way to feel confident with them as well??

It might be best for you to post one or two questions you find "hard" so we can assist with your thought processes, but if you're in Year 10 and the teachers are genuinely setting you Grade 9 questions, then I'd have to ask whether the teaching is appropriate. But really the key thing is whether you've covered the relevant material before attempting the question - some topics can easily be re-ordered within GCSE so what appears to be more complicated can come earlier on.
