UCAS extra GCSE

Hi,
There was an extra GCSE that I did outside of my school and I wanted to know if I have to include this GCSE/grade in my UCAS application. Any help is appreciated.
Many Thanks

You must declare all your GCSEs - it doesn't matter where you took them.

UCAS checks against data from the exam boards - so it isn't worth lying.
And, if you are worried about one weak GCSE grade, it is so insignificant, and it wont make any difference to your overall application.

Hi, thanks for the response. To clarify, i dont want to lie in my application, I just dont want to include a subject. Would this create a problem for me? also, do u know of any case where someone has gotten into trouble with this? Many thanks

Why exactly do you not want to add this GCSE.

That’s a lie by omission.
UCAS rules are really clear, you must include it.
Worst case scenario, unis don’t appreciate being lied to and report you to UCAS who remove you from the application cycle. As above, not worth the risk. If it’s a naff grade unis simply won’t care.

Hi, thanks for the response. Do you know where/how UCAS gets access to GCSE grade data?

They get a data file directly from each exam board.
(PS. Time to stop worrying about this...?)
