Was a traffic light was green and I had brain fog and went straight but went into the oncoming traffic lane. There is a cctv dome on there and it says for the prevention and detection of crime and traffic enforcement. Will.i get a fine and points for this it was late and luckily there was no other oncoming cars. I don't know how or why I ended up going into that lane. Pls advise

Speed cameras are triggered by people driving at a speed in excess of a given threshold. Red light cameras are triggered by someone passing the "stop" line once the traffic lights have turned red. Nothing, as far as I'm aware, will specifically trigger a CCTV camera designed for the "prevention and detection of crime and traffic enforcement". However, as a video (rather than a still) camera, it likely (a) records 24/7 and (b) is monitored, to some extent.

That means that any points/fine won't be automatic, but will require someone to have actually been watching it happen "live", or to have noticed it when reviewing the footage later. How likely that it is difficult to determine.

However, if someone did spot it, you should expect to receive something through the post in the next couple of weeks.
Meh if no one stopped you at the time you're prob ok, the chances of someone observing that and making a formal complaint of careless driving is highly unlikely, and in terms of CCTV it's just not what they're really looking for (IMO)

I've been driving for 7 years and also drive professionally, I drive into wrong streets, lanes and directions of traffic quite a bit and never had a later complaint.
