Foundation degree and Top degree

Hi. If anyone can please advise me on the following as I am a bit confused. So I am looking to start university in September 2025 through a degree apprenticeship route in Nursing associate (foundation degree). If i pass this which is a two year course I have the option to take a top up degree to become a registered nurse.
My question is do I graduate twice then? One when I complete my foundation degree and get the certification and other when I complete my top up degree? I have two gown ceremonies? Personally I’d rather wait for my full degree after top up to have a graduation ceremony. I am a little confused can anyone help me out

You would need to check with your uni if they hold a graduation ceremony for foundation degrees. If they do, you don't have to attend. Certificates aren't usually issued in the cermony and you will be able to pick up yours at another time.

I did a foundation degree and a top up to a bachelors, but in engineering. There was 2 graduation ceremonies, and the gowns are different for each. They’re not compulsory.

Oh right. So a foundation degree is also not compulsory to attend if you plan on doing a top up? I’m not sure if I want to do a top up yet after a foundation degree but will I still get to graduate after passing the foundation degree

There are two separate ceremonies but you can choose not to go. I didn't go to my foundation degree ceremony because I knew I was going to definitely do the top up.
