Gates Cambridge 2025/2026

Hi guys, I recently got an offer for MPhil in Public Policy. However, I still haven't heard from the Gates Cambridge on anything (invitation for interview nor rejection). I am from Indonesia. Do they always conduct interviews for us non US citizen?

Hi, I also applied for Gates Cambridge, though my application is still under department review. I believe that we will either be rejected or invited for interview by March I think? This is what they say on their website: https://www.gatescambridge.org/apply/timeline/
Hi! I also applied for both Gates and MPhil in Public Policy. Is there any change on your portal? I'm still under department review and haven't heard back from Gates as well. I'm starting to get nervous haha. I got an offer last year but didn't get any funding, hence I reapplied this year. It didn't take this long to move from department review to decision pending last year, that's why I'm starting to get worried😅.

Anyway, wishing you the best of luck! Hope you'll get good news soon

I got the offer on December 3rd. But yes, funding is a scary yet crucial thing ☹️ Fingers crossed for both of us. Let me know how it goes

How long did it take to move from department review to decision pending last year?

Similar situation here! I tried applying 2 years ago, was accepted but no funding so I'm trying now again. And yeah, I feel the whole process was much faster. I applied on November 29 and I'm still in department review stage :')
I got an offer exactly six weeks after I submitted my application. If I remember correctly, a few days before I received the offer, it moved to the decision pending. As for my current application, it's been more than six weeks since I submitted but I'm still on department review🥲

The waiting is so stressful🥲. Although it hasn't even reached 12 weeks yet for me, can't help but think the worst haha. But with others still on the department review, there's still hope I guess. Wishing you tons of luck! Please let us know if there's any update on your portal if you don't mind.

I'm in the same situation. I applied on December 4th, not a Gates Cambridge applicant. It's been about 7 weeks now, and my application is still under review. I noticed that most people who have already been admitted received their responses within 3-5 weeks of submission. According to discussions from last year's threads, there should be some movement on most applications around the 8-week mark, so if I don’t see any updates by then, I plan to reach out in early February. I also read that earlier applicants who haven’t received a final response by the 12-week mark might be placed on a waitlist to see how they stack up against applications submitted by the final deadline. Typically, they’ll receive a final decision around March.
That being said, the department committee had a scheduled monthly meeting couple of days ago, (January 20th or 21st, I don't remember exactly), so it shouldn’t be too long until we get our answers.

has anyone heard anything?
If your department considers you for Gates, does that mean that you get an interview for sure? Does anyone know?
Sorry, meant to say nominates. If you get nominated for Gates by your department, is it guaranteed that you get an interview?

Haven't heard anything from Gates or the department. My portal still shows "under review by the department". How about you? It's my 9th week
