GCSE requirements for medicine

Hi, I got a decent set of GCSE results but I’m not sure if universities would accept me. For instance Manchester say they need 7 GCSEs at grade 7 or above (which i don’t have) and Leeds say that they aren’t likely to shortlist people with 6s in English and maths at GCSE. I know some unis put low requirements on GCSEs (e.g. KCL 6 in English and maths) would they still pick someone with better GCSEs to me even if i’ve got what’s required. Has anyone got into medicine with similar GCSEs or know any unis that may accept mine. Thank you.

GCSE results:
Biology- 8
Chemistry- 8
Physics- 8
Maths- 8
RS- 8
Food tech- 9
English language- 6
English literature- 6
Computer science- 6
German- 5

I dont wanna make a mistake so ima just tell you a few to apply and a few not to - defo dont go for brum or oxford or nottingham cardiff aston etc, dont feel disheartened cos my gcse were roughly same as urs and i didnt apply there LOL, check just to make sure but i think u can apply queen marys, southampton, and sheffield, and maybe check for a fourth. again tho double check those 3 i dont wanna make a mistake but i applied to those 3 with roughly ur gcse and i got interviews. just make sure u pattern ur ucat pls its very improtant especially for southampton and sheffield - u wanna be getting as high as u can i dont know a score cos ucat is changing for u this year but just note that!!

yeah fairs i was just saying oxford incase LOL but just make sure u pattern ucat, and check sheffield asw unless u dont wanna go there im j saying incase cos u forgot to mention it lol and lmk what u find for those unis cos from my knowledge they care more abt ucat. good luck!!
