GCSE Chemistry revision

Out of all my subjects, I am struggling with Chemistry the most since I just do not understand it.
Does anyone have any revision tips for me?

Flashcards flashcards flashcards all the way! You can also record voice memos on your phone (or other devices) of you reading the information aloud, the more you listen the clearer it should become.
Studies have also shown that blue ink helps to calm you, and it can aid with memory retention. It may not work for all, but it's worth a try!

Personally, I absolutely despised chemistry and thought I was done for. Although, I passed and I believe that you can too. Good luck!

Thanks, I will give this a go. What about the longer answer stuff you need to know? like experiments?

For the experiments it's all about learning the main pieces of information, learn it in chunks and assure they are super simplified. Don't worry about fancy wording or writing paragraphs because writing bullet points worked perfectly fine in my exam board (CCEA), unsure of yours, but I'd assume it's the same. You get the marks for your correct points rather than your lengthy lines. Drawing diagrams with simple bullet points and again, using voice memos helps.

Hi @ollieck

I would recommend trying to answer lots of past paper questions. This will help you to work out what specific areas you need to focus on revising. You can also look at the mark schemes to find the key words and phrases that you will get marks for in the exam.

Hope that helps!
