Foundation year or regular entry?

My predicted grades are ABC (chemistry, maths and biology respectively)/132 points + EPQ. I'm applying for both optometry and pharmacy and here are my potential choices:

Pharmacy:
KCL : ABC (contextual)
Kingston: 120 points (contextual)
Kingston foundation year: 80 points (contextual)

Optometry:
City, uni of london: either regular entry of 120 points (contextual) or foundation year of 104 points.
Hertfordshire foundation year: 96 points

I'm stuck on whether i should apply for the foundation optometry course for city or the regular course.

If i do apply for the foundation course and on results day i have the grades for regular entry, would it be possible to switch to the regular degree?

I'm also unsure on if i should keep the kingston foundation year or take it out and apply for both regular and foundation optometry courses for city.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to switch to the regular degree. I don't see why not, but it's best to not assume things. Try and find their number and call them, that should clear it up.

As for the foundation year thing, I think you'll be capable of being able to qualify for the regular entry, it's more of a matter of do you think you'll need that foundation year to help with your uni studying?

Do you realise thats is very risky applying for two vastly different professional courses like this - it will be very obvious from your PS that you are not actually committed to either career.
