Guildhall vs Trinity Laban vs Royal Northern College of Music for a vocalist

Hi all! I’ve been applying to different music courses and i’ve had some offers! I’ve been offered a place at Trinity Laban on the BAMPI course (Music performance and industry) as part of the popular music department. I’ve also got a similar offer from RNCM on their popular music course. Then finally i’ve also just had an offer from Guildhall on their Bmus course with hons in Jazz Vocal! I’m now looking for every opinion I can get on these different institutions as I haven’t had a chance to visit any yet, and what offers people think would be best and provide the most opportunities out of these options. Thanks!

Guildhall
- very prestigious and has an incredibly diverse student body
- encourages more avant guarde styles
- located in the Barbican which is a very exciting and dynamic concert location in London
- the campus is a little ‘grimy’ but that’s all part of the vibe

RNCM
- good international connections but not as prestigious as the London conservatoires
- very nice and clean campus with excellent facilities
- I have heard that there can be a rivalry between the ‘pop’ students and the ‘classical’ students

Trinty
- not as prestigious as other London conservatoires
- lovely campus and great opportunities for jazz enthusiasts
- lackluster facilities when compared to other to other conservatoires

Hope this helps!
