Be able to use the STARL method when talking about your healthcare work experience/ volunteering/dealing with a situation in roleplay so setting, task/problem, (I forgot what a stands for I’m so sorry), reflect and link back to optom

Research your university, the city and the course including teaching style, placement years and modules you might like
•
Be able to mention research or articles (one or two is good enough to sound like you’ve done wide reading)
•
Wider reading by mentioning talking to optom students, reading journals and wex
•
Be able to put yourself in a roleplay by remaining open and empathise with whoever, staying silent is good to allow actor to speak, and keep asking open questions- try to deal with situation offer support and strategise a solution (you don’t need to make any sort of treatments!)
•
Stay logical and always say your reasoning to your decision out loud as that’s what they’re thinking about
