Driving instructor behaviour

As the title says,
I've been taking lessons with a BSM driving instructor and he's been late, cancelled lessons, cut lessons short, on his phone scrolling Facebook and taking calls while his phone is connected to the car. It's not made me particularly happy because I've paid for him to teach me to drive and he's doing other things. Should I contact BSM and try to switch instructors?

Definitely bring it up with BSM! You've paid for these lessons and you're spending time out of your day to go and lessons can also be very expensive and it's his job to give you his full attention. Try to maybe discuss with BSM and if not fixed then switch to a separate instructor.

Thanks, I was thinking about it because it's not right for him to think it's okay to do that.
Nah get another instructor. Lessons aren't cheap so you can't afford to waste money with someone lazy like this. Using their phone is flat out illegal also.

You should also report him to the DVSA - if he is using his phone whilst your driving then he's actually breaking the new mobile phone laws!

Yeah, deffo speak to bsm and ask to change instructors.
They might also have a word with him as well.

Thanks, he's also a trainee instructor so he shouldn't be getting into these habits

That's shocking - the one I have is also a trainee but has been really good so far.
