I sent my UCAS off two days ago and have received an offer from Cardiff this morning but also received a separate email with a link to sign up to the architecture applicant portal where it has a place to link your portfolio to support the application. I was wondering if I need to still submit it or if it's unnecessary.

Hi, same happened with me, i got the offer without giving in my portfolio. I submitted my portfolio following the university’s guidelines on portfolios regardless as I wanted them to see my work. So I’d say submit it 🙂
If you do not have a background in an art and design subject, we may ask you to submit a portfolio alongside your application. The portfolio should contain work that demonstrates your creative capacity; this could be showcasing your skills in drawing, photography, pottery, a spatial practice through dance, choreography or filmmaking or anything that captures your individuality.
Have you received an email detailing about any instructions on what to do yet? I would definitely recommend still submitting if not
