oh i also do fm and we did polynomial division and factor theorem in early jan but were on sketching quadratics + range and domain of them (although our teacher has been off the last 2 weeks 😪)

Sorry - I have no idea whether you're in Y10, 11 or 12

Update:
Today particularly has been great here's what I got done:

✅Factor theorem and polynomial long division review

✅Identity Matrix and Matrix Transformations

✅Spanish flashcards review

🎉Other things include: Cooking, Set new goals, Hopped on Fifa for a bit

More things I got done on previous days:

✅Spanish writing exam complete - In the 20 marker I wrote too much 👀

✅Spanish module 2 complete resources

✅Extract from, The Prelude DONE ready for revision in year 11

✅Grade 9 on electrolysis test which is quite nice.

✅Business entrepreneur and entrepreneurship (1.1) Review ( Need to look at past paper questions )

🏀Other things include: Table tennis, basketball and more career research

Targets/Streaks:
Corbettmaths Higher and Higher Plus 5 a day: 1 days
Duolingo: 0 days
Workout: 2 days
-> "Today was hard, Tomorrow will be harder, next week, month and even year will be harder, but the future will be bright"
Have not heard back from my application or UKMT.
This month is gonna be a banger😈💪 - AnonymousTaken:biggrin:

Amazing work recently! I love how youre keeping up with hobbies 🙂 the streaks for different things are a fantastic idea too. Great quote! With UKMT challenges they usually release the papers on their websites so if you kept your answer script you can work out how well do did before you get a certificate because those usually take weeks for schools to print and distribute (might just be my school lol)

that sounds great well done on everything u got done today- i totally forgot abt the UKMT is it something serious that you could put on an application or UCAS ect bc i have not been revising for it and i never do (its usually a speed through lesson and then sleep)

Probably not for UCAS but definitely for your post 16. Try get a gold certificate next year - bunch of past papers on website to revise from. It also proves your interest for maths/ further maths if thats an option u want to pursue for alevels

Wow congrats on the productivity!
You're quite far ahead in FM? I can't quite remember but I think we did polynomial division and factor theorem in the first few months of Y11. And matrices already? :eek3: It's not even in A-Level maths... :colone:

Honestly we did that near the start but im just recapping and making up my content which i missed due to holiday. Today i have further maths after school which I think we might start calculas

Thanks ! 🤩 The streaks will definitely make sure I dont leave out my maths which I find so easy and also I keep practicing my Spanish . For listening i might start watching my documentaries in Spanish now 👀

Hi guys! SUCH GOOD NEWS! I got an email back from the scholars programme saying that.... MY APPLICATION IS SUCCESSFUL. This is going to be amazing. I attended the meeting today talking about what's it basically about. We will start in March with our project due date on June 4th.
Honestly it's gonna be a huge leap for me in my application to college and uni as i'm gonna include it.
Bad thing though is that I'm gonna have to group with some random year 12's perhaps which might be crazy.

We will be going to our scholars graduation ceremony at the university of .... guess I'm going to keep it a secret for now👀. Put your guesses down below.

Oh ok - you guys are starting further maths much earlier than I did! Is it just 1h a week?

Polynomial long division is a nice topic… have you come across questions with remainders yet?

yes so our classes are on a tues after school and is about the same time as a normal lesson at my school (50 mins) so it can allow everyone to come from different lessons, say bye to their friends ect before coming into the lesson
im glad u think that poly long div is a nice topic but lets js say i hope i feel that way too after some time bc rn is like no lets not- anyway remainders have not crossed my path yet but i did get them the first couple times i did the equations bc of where i was going wrong but its all sorted now

Yea polynomial division with remainders start to make a lot more sense, and then get a lot more confusing when you're introduced to partial fractions at A-Level. The algebra isn't really difficult but it's easy to make mistakes I guess...
