UCAS predicted grades

I've heard so many conflicting things about what I can do with my predicted grades. My teachers are being very stubborn and not predicting me one grade above what I'm getting now even though I've gotten those grades before. I've been told I can go against recommendation but haven't been told how. Also that when sending off the application the teacher who does it can change the grades but when I tried was told I couldn't. I feel like I have nothing left to do as the grades I'm predicted now are not good enough for my top choice. any advice would help thanks

I am in same situation with my teachers ( I wish some of them were nice enough to want to help) I had As in most exams and they said no, out of spite for my parents who complained and they predicted me BBBs, so I am applying to uni after my A Levels which I have to score A*s in all. I'm now doing extra work at home. I don't want clearance as it's too stressful and I may not get my course, so I'll do next year stress free.

Your school enters your predicted grades when completing your UCAS reference - a section of the UCAS application that you have no access to. Therefore you cannot change, influence or interfere with this, and you will just have to live with what they decide to enter - however frustrating you might find that.

Its worth still having one risky choice - just above your predicted grades - they might still make you an offer.
Your only alternative would be to not apply to Uni now and instead just work your socks off to get higher grades needed, take a gap year and apply next year for 2026 entry.
