Manchester and Nottingham: How long does it take to get a response back?

Hi All!

I was just wondering how long it would take, roughly, to hear back from the University of Manchester and Nottingham? I've received an offer from my other choices, but I'm a little nervous waiting for these two.

nottingham took about two to three weeks and I’m also still yet to here back from manchester and I applied october 25

I think it depends on the course. I heard back from Manchester on the same day (Philosophy and Religion), but I've known others to be waiting months beyond the deadline.
Remember, no news is likely good news!

I think Law does take a while at Manchester so keep positive! I’m sure you’ll get great news in good time, the fact you have offers elsewhere shows you’ve got a strong application 😁

it took me a month and a half! i applied for law on october 18th and got a response back on 4th december

i don't think the time they respond is something to worry about though, especially because they might have not looked at your application yet, or because it's christmas holidays right now

also most of the unis for law that i know of usually make their decisions after the january ucas deadline! i'm actually in a situation similar to you, except it's with warwick instead of manchester and nottingham, so hopefully it goes well for both of us 🙂

I heard back from Manchester after 5 days! Didn't apply to Nottingham but most of my friends heard back in a week or two weeks.

Hello @Noradoodledoo!

In terms of University of Nottingham, the institution aims to provide a response within three weeks, albeit it may take up to six weeks at peak periods. Likewise, it is Christmas now so there may be a bit of delay because of that.

Nonetheless, in the event they need more information from you to make a decision, they will get intouch. As soon as they have made a decision on your application, they will contact you to let you know what you need to do next!
