Children's Nursing

Hey guys. I will be applying to study children's nursing in September 2026. Does anyone know which universities are best for children's nursing? Or if you have already started or completed your children's nursing degree, what made you choose your university over others. If given the chance to go back in time, would you choose the same university or switch? By the way, only London suggestions as I will only be applying to universities in London.

It doesn't matter where you study nursing as all courses are held to the same standard by the NMC so choose a uni that you will feel comfortable studying at. Use the NHS course finder to search for courses by location and then book some open days:

Honestly pick the university that you love the most. No matter the uni, you will still end up with the same degree and registration by the NMC. The type of uni wouldn’t matter compared to other courses. KCL maybe would be the best for child’s nursing. City uni is also good

Hiya,

I'm currently a 2nd year childrens nurse at WrexhamUniversity, through my experiences so far I have found the course has been amazing! I’m so glad you’re looking into doing Children’s nursing, and I wish you the best for whichever university you apply for!

Whilst I’m unable to help with recommending universities in London I can however assist in the following ways: the following links may aid you for more information on the general application / interviewing process for universities and an in-sight-into a day in the life as a children’s nurse on placement here at Wrexham University 🙂https://wrexham.ac.uk/blog/posts/application-and-interview-tips-nursing/https://wrexham.ac.uk/blog/posts/day-in-the-life-of-a-childrens-nursing-student-on-placement/

Good luck out there and if you have any questions letme know! 🙂
